Basic Function Working in a team environment, the Project Manager is responsible for managing/developing and optimizing capital projects and ensure business requirements are in line with the project objectives and deliverables. The position interacts with other project managers, engineers, specialists, and technicians at the site, corporate technical networks, peers at other locations, and vendors/suppliers as needed to execute the capital projects and projects during turnarounds as required. Roles & Responsibilities General o Manages assigned Capital Projects in a Gated environment budgeted up to $10 MM. o Evaluates the fitness of assigned projects for Company Safety, Health, Environmental and PSM standards, specifications and procedures. o Develops the scope of the assigned Capital Project. o Ensures the business requirements are in line with the project objectives and deliverables. o Develops the project plan for the assigned Capital Project. o Develops and implements execution and contracting strategies to effectively meet project objectives for the assigned Capital Project. o Manages project stake holders, deliverables, budget, risk, schedule and team. o Manages project controls, engineering, construction and procurement in assembly of a detailed constructability and execution plan. Supervises that plan through the stages of the project including the closure of the project. Area of Expertise, Requirements o Familiar with applicable codes and standards - ASME, ANSI, API, NFPA, PSM Mechanical Integrity, etc. o The successful candidate must exhibit an understanding of business drivers, management of change requirements, capital projects work flow and processes, reliability processes, and maintenance workflow. Min. Qualifications Education and Work Experience o B.S. degree in Engineering o Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in the refining, petrochemical, chemical process, or power generation industries is preferred o Professional Engineering license preferred o PMP certificate preferred Languages English, additional language preferred Other skills o Proficient in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), and knowledge of software tools (SAP, P6, Navisworks and Icarus). o Strong interpersonal leadership skills are critical due to the requirement for effective communication of complex issues across the organization as well as for mentoring and consensus building. o Experience executing brownfield plant projects. Superior interpersonal, communication, and written skills are necessary to advance to this level. o The successful candidate must have strong commitment to safety, a high level of personal integrity, and dedication to conducting business in an ethical way. o Project management skills preferred.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
