Human Resources Generalist - Full Time (Lake Charles)

Summary:
Property business partner that supports critical Human Resources functions.
This position will support all aspects of Human Resources such as recruiting, training, employee relations, and licensing.
Leads the property recruitment and training efforts which includes the sourcing of qualified candidates, arrangement and hosting of weekly panel interviews, arrangement of up follow up interviews with department managers and facilitation of weekly new hire classes.
Hosts job fairs as needed.
Assists with the hosting of property events and will, at times, be called on to conduct employee investigations.
Will provide both technical and administrative support to the department.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
oBachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
oMinimum one (1) year in Human Resources or recruitment/external search experience.
oPrevious external recruitment experience (e.
g.
, job fairs, college and community relations and placement).
oExcellent presentation and training skills.
oExcellent technical skills (proficiency in Word, Excel, Windows) required.
oMust be able to work a flexible schedule.
oExcellent ability in handling multiple tasks.
oMust be able to learn new duties and adjust to new situations encountered on the job within a reasonable amount of time.
oMust work well in stressful situations while performing multiple, concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions.
oMust be able to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.

oSources, recommends and uses optimum recruitment methods to attract highly qualified and culturally fit candidates.
oReviews resumes, screens candidates and presents those qualified to hiring managers.
oConducts panel interviews and processes all resulting paperwork.
oPartners with departmental leaders to ensure hiring needs are met.
oMaintains tracking of open jobs and reports weekly on status of openings.
oTrains new supervisors/managers on proper hiring/interviewing procedures and process.
oAssists in educating our external network and community members on job openings and requirements.
oAssists in the review of request for transfers and applications to ensure both meet requirements of job desired.
oPlaces job advertisements as necessary.
oAssists in orderly filing of applications and necessary purging.
oResponds to all employee and applicant inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, within 24 hours of receiving the call.
oCoordinates and conducts new hire orientation.
oPrepares and maintains training records and manuals.
oResponsible for project management, establishing and meeting timelines, attention to detail and to follow-through.
oActs as a role model and present one as a credit to Caesars and encourage others to do the same.
oAdheres to all departments/company policies and procedures.
oPerforms other duties as assigned.
