Responsibilities:
- Install insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings according to specifications and industry standards - Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas - Apply airless paint spraying techniques to insulate surfaces - Use power tools to secure insulation materials in place - Caulk and seal gaps and joints to ensure proper insulation - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine insulation requirements - Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, to coordinate insulation installation - Perform construction estimating tasks to determine the quantity of insulation materials needed for a project
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an insulator or in a related construction role is preferred - Proficiency in using power tools and equipment commonly used in insulation installation - Knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques - Familiarity with caulking techniques and materials - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans - Strong carpentry skills, including trim carpentry and frame carpentry - Mechanical knowledge for understanding the impact of insulation on HVAC systems Note:
